The SteelSeries Apex 3 TKL is a water-resistant keyboard, but not waterproof

The water-resistant feature to protect against light spills is a good thing to have. Sometimes accidents happen. Maybe you knock over your glass and water gets everywhere. Maybe you sneeze as you’re taking a drink and you spill a little bit onto your keyboard. The point is the keyboard will be safe and more than likely fine. Water-resistant is not the same as waterproof though. Which means users should try to ensure they don’t spill too much on the keyboard. Now at $45, it wouldn’t be the end of the world for many users if the keyboard broke and it had to be replaced. But there’s no sense in being all devil may care with your gear. Aside from the water-resistance, the Apex 3 TKL has a handful of other useful features for gamers. For instance, the silent switches. Some users love the clicks and clacks of typing on a mechanical gaming keyboard. Others not so much. If you find yourself in the latter category, the Apex 3 TKL’s ‘Whisper Quiet’ gaming switches will be music to your ears. The keyboard also features RGB lighting, dedicated media controls, and a clickable volume wheel. The media keys and volume wheel in particular are great if you need to quickly adjust the audio levels of your game or skip to a new track.
