OPPO announces Find X5 series launch event, three phones expected
Three phones are expected to launch, the OPPO Find X5 Lite, Find X5, and Find X5 Pro. In addition to the event confirmation, OPPO also shared images of one of its phones, we presume this is the OPPO Find X5 Pro. That device leaked a number of times thus far, so we know what to expect. OPPO recently confirmed its partnership with Hasselblad as well, and you can clearly see the Hasselblad branding on the back of this device. Hasselblad partnered up with OnePlus last year, and it did the same with OPPO now. The two companies agreed on a 3-year partnership, which is the same deal OnePlus has. OPPO and OnePlus are sister companies, by the way, so this is not surprising. As you can see in the provided images, the Find X5 Pro is shown in Black and White variants. It has a rather odd-looking rear camera island, which resembles the one on the Find X3 Pro, but it has a different shape.
Three rear cameras will be boosted by the MariSilicon X NPU
Three cameras are expected to be included on the back, and one on the front. The Find X5 Pro will have a display camera hole on the front, based on the leaks we’ve seen. Its display will be curved, and its bezels really thin. The phone will likely be made out of metal and glass, though it wouldn’t surprise us if OPPO reaches for a ceramic backplate on at least one of the versions. The device is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, a large QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display, Android 12, A 50-megapixel main camera, large battery, truly fast wired and wireless charging, and so on. OPPO will also include its MariSilicon X NPU here, an NPU it announced not long ago. All in all, the Find X5 Pro does seem to be quite appealing, on paper. It remains to be seen what it will offer in real life.
