Both variants sell for 1,522 SGD ($1,126), while Shopee also offers an exchange promotion (via), bringing the cost down to 1,298 SGD ($960). Customers who registered early interest in the special edition variants got it for 1,111 SGD ($822). So what do users get with these models? Both offer the 128GB version of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 along with a Marvel or Star Wars-branded silicone cover with strap, a finger strap, and a Shopee power bank. The inclusion of a power bank is understandable considering the subpar battery life of the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Expectedly, the Star Wars and Marvel Edition models of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 are available in limited quantities. While both variants are currently available on Shopee’s official online Samsung store, stocks will likely run out soon.
It’s unclear if these special edition models will be available outside Singapore
Customers can purchase either limited edition variant in colors like Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender. It’s unclear if Samsung will launch these models outside Singapore. This is not the first time that a smartphone manufacturer has teamed up with a recognizable brand. While OnePlus is seemingly releasing a limited edition variant every other month, Samsung has long been involved with such variants. The company released the Iron Man Edition Galaxy S6 Edge in 2015, featuring a completely stylized rear and front panel. Samsung recently distributed the Galaxy S21 Olympic Games Edition to athletes participating in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. While the variant offered to Olympians features the Olympic rings on the back, the Paralympians received the Galaxy S21 bearing the iconic ‘three agitos’ insignia on the back. Separately, Samsung also released the Galaxy S21 Olympic Games Edition for consumers in Japan. This phone was launched through a partnership with local carrier NTT Docomo. This variant came with a price tag of 112,464 JPY ($986) in the region.
