Telegram isn’t popular for no reason. This app gets constant updates, so you can always count on new and exciting features. The company previously allowed people to hide their text-based messages. When sending them, the message would hide behind a “Spoiler” screen. The recipient would only be able to see it after tapping on it.
Now Telegram lets you send hidden media messages
The aforementioned feature only applied to text-based messages, but now the company is expanding on that. With this update, if you want to send hidden media via Telegram, you can. This means that pictures and videos will also be able to be hidden. This is perhaps more useful than hiding text. Images are more prone to immediately offending someone than text. Now, you’ll be able to hide those images behind a spoiler screen. This also goes for videos. You’ll be able to send hidden media in group chats along with 1-on-1 conversations and channel messages.
The app will also make storage management easier
Telegram will bring a new file management page that will help you better visualize the files that you have stored on the app. It’s a pretty simple Pie chart that shows you what types of files you have, and it also shows you how much data your Telegram files are eating up in all. Below the pic chart, you’ll see what percentage of your device’s total storage is being used by Telegram files. This is accompanied by a progress bar indicating this.
Then, below that, you’ll see the pie chart’s data reflected as separate items. We see items such as videos, images, music files, documents, and other. It will show the percentages that each item takes up along with the total storage those file types are taking up. This provides a much easier way to view and manage the storage that your files are taking up on your device. This new storage management page will let you manage what files are saved to the cloud and limit how much storage the app uses on your devices. This update has been rolling out, so make sure your app is fully updated if you want to see these features.
