Most of the Galaxy phones slated to get Android 12 have already gotten it. Also, most of the current devices are getting a regular stream of software updates. Samsung has really upped its game with its software updates.
Now, the Galaxy M11 is getting Android 12
Folks who own this phone are in for a treat, as the latest consumer version of Android is coming. While Google is working on Android 13, Android 12 is still making its way to phones. With Android 12, the Galaxy M11 will also get the upgrade to One UI 4. That’s not quite the latest version of the One UI, but it’s still full of several new features. There will be some noticeable changes to the UI that will make the software look a bit different. Elements throughout the UI will look more rounded like widgets and app icons. One of the most notable additions to the software is the ability to theme the software based on the colors present in the wallpaper. This is the Dynamic Color feature, and it’s one of the most sought-after features. Also, when an app is using the camera or microphone, you’ll get an indicator on the top of the display. It lets you know if you’re being watched or listened to.
That’s not all that’s coming with the update
With the update to Android 12, the Galaxy M11 is also getting the June 2022 security update. This is a great thing because it brings a substantial amount of vulnerability fixes for the software. The update fixes 65 security holes, and five of them were considered critical, so that’s great. Of the vulnerabilities, 17 of them were specific to Samsung devices. The remaining 48 were present in Android in general. You should see the update on your phone already. If not, then you might want to wait just a couple of days for it to hit your phone.
